ROCK THE DAY PROP HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions apply to Rock The Day prop hire only and by placing an order you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Please read this agreement carefully.
Upon entering into this agreement, you the hirer, agree to be bound to the terms within it.
Hire Period
The hire period for all items which are supplied by Rock The Day will be 1 day. Any extension to the hire period must be agreed with Rock The Day owners. Please ask for a quotation for longer periods of hire.
Rock The Day agrees to hire the items to the customer for the period of hire stated on the invoice agreement.
The items shall at all times remain the property of Rock The Day. The customer is solely responsible for the items during the hire period from the time of delivery/collection until the items are collected/returned and accepted back into the possession of Rock The Day.
Delivery and Collection
On receipt of the items, the customer may wish to inspect all items and sign a copy of our delivery note. Any shortage or damage must be notified by the customer on the delivery note at the time of delivery. If the customer fails to do this, the items will be deemed to have been delivered in a clean and undamaged condition. Equally, if there is no-one available to check the items, they will be deemed to have been delivered in a clean and undamaged condition.
At the end of the hire period, the items should be securely packed as found and ready for collection/delivery back to Rock The Day. Hirer must provide safe and proper access to and from the site.
Props on hire are not to be moved from the delivered address without the written consent of the owner of Rock The Day.
We deliver from Essex – CM7 3SS Within a 10 mile radius free of charge.

Use of Equipment
All equipment must be used in a safe manner, taking into account any instructions supplied with the equipment. No responsibility is accepted by Rock The Day for injury or damage to any party/equipment caused by improper use.
– Electrical equipment will have been PAT tested by an independent electrician and a sticker applied to the plug, according to regulations. An Electrical certificate will not be supplied as any electrical equipment used by Rock The Day runs under 50 volts.
– Rock The Day do not recommend the use of extension leads with our equipment and will not be held responsible for the safety or use of this equipment.

Terms of Payment
A 50% deposit will be required to secure your booking. This will secure all items you have specified on your order. The final balance must be paid 6 weeks prior to your event
We will inform you within 5 working days if there is any damage or loss to your order.
Loss or damage to any items will be charged for and deducted accordingly. If you break or damage any prop items, we will invoice you for any extra cost (replacement costs are on website) and this must be paid within 10 working days. Please be aware water/drinks spillages will be deductible if the items need re-painting.
Cancellation
If the customer wishes to cancel the order, Rock The Day must be notified in writing.
The following cancellation charges will apply:
More than 30 days notice given in writing = 50% of total charge
15-29 days = 75% of total charge
Under 14 days = 100% of total charge
15-29 days = 75% of total charge
Under 14 days = 100% of total charge
Cancellation by our part
We reserve the right to cancel agreed prop hire in the instance of unforeseen circumstances. In the case of such as this, a full refund of monies paid will be issued.
Liability
Rock The Day will accept NO responsibility for damage or injury to persons or property as a result of this hire arrangement.
Rock The Day does not have public liability insurance which covers damage/injury once they have been delivered.

In any event the limit of Rock The Day liability will not exceed the hire contract value.
Insurance
For your peace of mind we strongly recommend that you take out suitable insurance as all items are the responsibility of the hirer until collected by/returned to Rock The Day. Any loss, damage or breakage will be charged accordingly.
